B.O.D

Materails: B.O.D container ( a black bottle that doesn't allow any sunlight or oxygen hit the water)

Conducting the B.O.D Test: The only task you have to do for the B.O.D test at the site, is to collect water in the B.O.D container. At school 5 days after the water was collected at the site you need to test the B.O.D to see how much is dissolved oxygen.

This test determines how much dissolved oxygen is in the water, which means if there is a lot of bacteria in the water the dissolved oxygen the oxygen would be low. This is bad for the water because not many of the other organisms would have enough oxygen to survive. If the dissolved oxygen is low the water is bad, but if it is high that means the bacteria isn't a big problem for the water.
